The design puzzle set as a restriction the solution for the frame that it should be a single component with only one way of joining it. This is a literally assembled construction. The design of the object took into account the possibility of its manufacture by low technology means, and did not conceal the intention that it could be reproduced by means of industrial production. Within the framework of the evolution of the object, models of differing lengths, from 1.4 to 3.5 metres, and of different heights were designed, in an attempt to exhaust all the possibilities of construction. Various kinds of covering were tried, with glass being the option most favoured. The object stimulates the interest by the way in which it is adapted to and is dematerialised in the different spaces, as it brings out its diaphanous and simple contrivance beneath the table ... |
