| 2006 The work is situated in the Parnassos region, at a short distance from the Ski Centre. The programme includes 20 independent residences for vacation use. The construction specification laid down that these dwellings should be constructed by the method of prefabricated wooden houses in order to keep the budget low. Given the striking morphology which this type of residence has because of the manner of its construction, the idea behind the proposal was to combine traditional stone masonry with the wooden construction, trying out forms which go beyond the more common. Thus the base can be incorporated into the rocky terrain, whereas the upper part exploits the lightness and other advantages of the wooden structure. The proposal included two different types of residences, with a sloping or pitched roof. |
